Northern Education Trust Dyke House Academy would like to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Casey Wright, a Year 8 student who sadly died on 18 July 2020.

Staff and students are deeply shocked and upset at the incredibly sad news of Casey’s sudden death on Saturday afternoon.  Casey was a bubbly character who had a smile that would light up a room.  She was a popular girl who had excellent relationships with her peers and staff, and would regularly go out of her way to be helpful to staff, and make them laugh.  She was motivated to do well in her lessons, and had a positive attitude towards learning, particularly enjoying history, science, technology, art and PE, where she produced some wonderful work.  Her teachers thought very highly of her, and were proud to see how much she had developed in her time with Dyke House Academy.

Casey will be a huge loss to the school community and is going to be dearly missed by everyone.  Our heartfelt condolences and support go to Casey’s family and friends.
