Over the half term holiday a number of our students and staff went on a skiing trip to Austria. The travellers visited a town in Northern Italy for a short visit but it was not one of the eleven towns currently on “lockdown” and was in fact a three hour drive from the closest affected area.
Public Health England and the Department for Education have advised that those who went on the trip can continue with their normal daily lives. However, if anyone who was on the trip develops symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath and a cough then the advice is to self-isolate and phone NHS 111 for further advice.
We will continue to monitor the guidance and advice available, and please rest assured that the welfare of our students and staff is paramount.
